In industrial cleaning, steam cleaning and high-pressure washing are the two most common methods, but many buyers do not understand the essential difference and often choose the wrong equipment.

Steam cleaning relies on high-temperature thermal energy — the machine uses instant vaporization to heat water into 150-210°C steam, which softens and emulsifies grease on contact, then 15-30 BAR pressure strips the dirt away. Water use is extremely low at 2-5 L per wash, roughly 1/20 of traditional high-pressure washing.

High-pressure washing relies on water impact force — 100-250 BAR jets blast dirt off, using lots of water (15-20 L/min), and suits large areas with heavy mud where water use is not a concern.

The rule of thumb is simple: if the scenario is water-sensitive, needs sanitizing, saves water, or reaches into gaps, choose steam cleaning. If it is a large area with heavy mud where water is fine, choose high-pressure washing.
